Register and join us at the IEEE SMC 2025 in Vienna, Austria! During registration, you can request a visa letter if needed.
We also offer childcare options to accommodate your needs.
Please also organise your travel and accommodation as soon as possible, since Vienna is usually well booked in October.

Note: After completing your registration and payment, it may take up to 24 hours for the synchronization between the registration system and PaperCept to be reflected. If your status in PaperCept has not been updated after this period, please contact the registration team at registration@ieeesmc2025.org for assistance.

Conference Policy
Full Registration
The conference registration fee includes admission to all conference sessions, workshops, tutorials, proceedings, admission to Welcome Reception, Conference Banquet, lunches and coffee breaks.
Registration covers the inclusion of one paper in the proceedings.
Proof of IEEE SMC Life/Fellow Membership Status and IEEE Life Membership Status requires the IEEE SMC/IEEE Membership Certificate to be uploaded during registration. They can be downloaded from the IEEE website under IEEE Account > Membership Information > Membership Card and Certificates.
Student Registration
The conference registration fee includes admission to all conference sessions, workshops, tutorials, proceedings, admission to Welcome Reception, lunches and coffee breaks. The Conference Banquet is not included in the student registration fee and can be booked separately.
Registration covers the inclusion of one paper in the proceedings.
Proof of student status requires one of the following to be shown during registration:
- A valid student ID card
- Letter from the student’s institution/university stating that the student is currently enrolled as a student at this institution/university.
All rates include 20% Austrian VAT.
Cancellation and Refund
Your conference fees for IEEE SMC 2025 can be refunded for a cancellation fee of EUR 250 on or before 31 August 2025 with the following exception: if your registration was used to upload a final paper to the conference, there will be no refund. In such a case please send your cancellation request to registration@ieeesmc2025.org.
After 31 August 2025, conference fees cannot be refunded. All refunds will be processed after the conference.
